Here at STRIVE, although we are firm believers in having fun in an academic setting, we understand that topics can often be confusing and that school must be taken seriously. Therefore, we offer completely free online and in-person tutoring for Elementary and Middle School Students in various subjects. Our goal is to not only improve the academic knowledge of a student but also help them feel more relaxed in their learning endeavors.
Subjects We Specialize In
Mathematics
Grappling with early math concepts can be challenging for young students. Our program aims to transform this learning experience, making it more impactful and memorable. Instead of presenting a jumble of formulas, we focus on teaching students to understand and internalize concepts rather than merely memorizing them. Our math tutoring department will help students in grades 3-8 in homework assignment.
English
Similarly, our English program is designed to enhance students' reading, writing, and comprehension skills. We move beyond monotonous learning and encourage a deeper understanding of language and literature. Our tutors work with students in grades 3-8 to improve their grammar, vocabulary, and critical thinking, making English learning more engaging and effective.
Science
In the same spirit, our science program is designed to ignite curiosity and foster a deep understanding of the natural world. Rather than just memorizing facts and formulas, we encourage students to explore scientific principles through hands-on experiments and interactive learning. Our tutors support students in grades 3-8 with their science homework and projects, making science both fun and educational. Some examples of our hands on science experiments include our spaghetti and marshmallow towers project in which we used these simple products to teach kids of structural integrity and architecture.
Computer Science
Similarly, our computer science program is designed to inspire and cultivate problem-solving skills. We move beyond basic coding exercises to help students understand the logic and creativity behind programming and developing their own code. Our tutors aim to teach young aspiring students the basics of computer science as well as artificial intelligence, two factors that shape our current world.
